The Paint With Lead In It Archives, part 1, has been uploaded. Expect part 2 very soon and an improved site for the comic (including current strips) not long after.
Additional news: syndicate member Monoliths, creator of "post-pop experidelic electronifolk", are nearing completion of their debut album "The Last Moment Of Doubt or Dreams And The Past". The web release date of this project is projected for 6/21/08, and will be available as a free download from the Monoliths site, hosted by the syndicate. Look for more updates on this soon.
Hello and welcome back. At an ancient pace we move toward our goals at the syndicate. We have received word that one of our aquaintances and soon to be members Bear Hat are to bring their music to a place in our hometown of Portland, Oregon. If you have not heard of Bear Hat, an adequate description would be as follows:
A frozen piece of rock tumbles in slow motion down a cliff whilst lightning strikes a nearby gravestone. Chemicals ooze from the soil, mutating the plantlife and making it glow and hum softly. Lords in tattered vestments parade down the streets and recount their conquests in raspish voices. Children raise a cup, and then again. Large fish pass under small boats unnoticed. Three young bandits play rock music for your ears.
Below is their official flyer for the show.

We have received the scans of some fine comics, made by the crew at the Stumptown Comics Fest. These are one-of-a-kind collectable trading cards and are the very last of the edition, beautiful original artworks, brought to you by the power of this internet. Contributing artists include the legends Christopher Nelson, Tim Yates, Ellen Exacto, Thomas Bradley Meyers, and the charming Audrey (age 5). Behold:

The report is that Ellen and Chris and Tim had a "good old time" at the Stumptown Comics Festival. Mr Tim Yates had this to say:
"Thanks everyone at Stumptown for a good old time. Meeting friends old and new was highly soul warming. I'd like to give hip-hop-style "shout outs" (please imagine affected piano with a mad sick P-Bass groove going on) to the Olympia Comics folk and Alarming Press, keep it real "yo". We'll be seeing you soon enough! Also, the charming Nick Gurewitch for putting up with my silliness with dignity. Scott McCloud I am sorry I did not play a game of chess with you. Also, the fabulous Audrey who won all our hearts. Finally, anyone who made away with any of our OVER ONE HUNDRED AND FORTY ORIGINAL DRAWINGS we sold for a reasonable price. Okay so we didn't get to 200 whatever. Yeah, fun time everyone, great job."
We are to understand that the gentlemen Chris & Tim as well as the lady Ellen are to be in attendance at the Olympia Comics Festival in Olympia, Washington, on this June the 7th. The second publication of The Syndication will be avaible there, as well as other artworks and conversations. Be sure to travel far to this event!
This website will, of course, be expanding greatly in the future. There is much information to shuffle in making this a reality and as such it may achieve this very slowly. We ask for your patience and encourage you to check in on a medium-frequent basis.

Mr Tim Yates released this message today to us regarding the Stumptown Comics Festival:
"Welcome everybody, this is Tim. Hey so we're going to be at Stumptown and we think it'll be a pretty good time. Okay bad news, then good news, and good news again. Unfortunately, due to a delay in shipment and the torrential storms that have been occuring, we are only able to salvage wares from last year's show (i.e. some Kilchis books, Syndication issues, and posters that did not get whisked away) to have for grabs on the table. However, we're going to make up for this by DRAWING AS MANY DAMN COMICS AS WE POSSIBLY CAN while we're there, LIVE, sitting in a room. The goal is AT LEAST 200. Okay more good news is that the fantastic Ellen Exacto will be joining us for the tabling rounds! Hooray Ellen, we think you are very excellent. We'll all three be up and around saying hello and stuff I'm sure if anybody feels like a conversation. ANYWAY there are lots of wondrous things to see and do at the festival so if you are not there it'll be only be sad for you! Haha!"
Mr Yates also sent the following poster along that he promised he would make several digital prints of, "in case anyone else still likes hot dogs."

Also a news item of note: we have received the files of the original Paint With Lead In It comics archive, making us able to post them online for free. This is a grand service and we are happy to offer it. Look for an update very soon as the the state of that.
